Description
This Acura Integra DC2 is a lightweight, performance-modified coupe built for the track. Finished in Championship White, it features red Honda badging and a JDM-spec Type R front-end conversion including Japanese-spec black housing headlights, together with a number of functional carbon fiber components. Upgraded with a K24A2 engine, safety upgrades, and track-capable hardware, this DC2 offers a well-balanced platform.
Under the hood is a K24A2 inline-four engine from the Honda K-series family. It is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential operated via a K-Tuned Race Spec. Billet Shifter. The drivetrain is configured to provide dependable acceleration and predictable corner-exit traction. The vehicle has been professionally tuned for flex fuel, allowing the use of E85, 91, or 93 octane fuels. Engine management is controlled via Hondata K-Pro with Bluetooth capability, supporting wireless data logging and real-time monitoring via a tablet or digital dash.
The chassis has been equipped with a full roll cage and fitted with adjustable coilover dampers for improved rigidity and handling. A StopTech big brake kit is installed offering reliable, fade-resistant braking for the track. It is fitted with lightweight Enkei wheels and racing slick tires.
Numerous custom carbon fiber body panels are fitted, including the hood, roof, and front fenders. These contribute to weight reduction while complementing the JDM front-end styling. The interior has been stripped and is lacking a traditional dash. However, the ECU’s Bluetooth integration allows users the option of an AIM display or a tablet-based solution to view engine parameters and vital information.
This DC2 Integra is an ideal entry point for someone seeking a straightforward, driving experience without the complexity of high-end electronics or overbuilt systems. It is a well-rounded, thoughtfully assembled car designed to give drivers a solid foundation for learning or advancing in performance driving. It’s not a showpiece but an honest approachable platform that delivers where it counts.

The Acura Integra Type R, particularly the second-generation DC2 introduced for the Japanese market in 1995, is an iconic, highly sought-after and highly acclaimed front-wheel-drive performance sports car known for its lightweight chassis, race-inspired tuning and engaging driving experience with a focus on performance rather than raw power. It’s often considered one of the best front-wheel-drive cars ever made, praised for its balanced handling, responsiveness, and driver engagement.
The DC2’s double wishbone suspension and optimized chassis contribute to its exceptional handling characteristics. Only a limited number of DC2 Type Rs were produced, especially in Japan, adding to its desirability. It featured a reinforced chassis, weight reduction, together with a hand-built B18C engine paired with a close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential.
Introduced in 2001 the Honda K-series engine is an in-line four-cylinder four-stroke equipped with DOHC valvetrain and roller rockers to reduce friction. Fitted with a coil-on-plug, distributor less ignition system, computer-controlled allowing the ECU to control ignition timing based on various sensor inputs. Fitted with cast iron cylinder sleeves like the B- and F-series engines.
The K24A2 engine was introduced in 2006 for the Acura TSX.
Some features included:
Increased intake flow from the intake valve being increased by 1 mm and the intake cam with 0.9 mm more lift and 12 degrees more duration
The throttle body diameter was increased from 60–64 mm.
The radius on some intake pipes increased from 70–80 mm
Increased exhaust flow was obtained by the exhaust header diameter increasing from 60–65 mm, fitting a higher flow catalytic converter together with an increased diameter single or twin exhaust pipe option.
Additional air passages in the crankcase reduce pumping losses, stronger connecting rods and under-piston oil squirters were also fitted.

Hondata utilizes Bluetooth for communication with mobile devices and laptops. Allowing datalogging, tuning, and monitoring engine parameters from a variety of devices. Hondata Mobile App is a free app for iOS and Android that allows connection to Bluetooth-enabled Hondata devices, and it enables monitoring engine parameters, checking and clearing error codes. Hondata S300 V3 can be used for datalogging from smartphones and laptop tuning without a USB connection.
The K-Tuned Billet RSX Shifter is a direct replacement for the OEM shifter box designed to work with both factory and aftermarket shifter cables. Designed to eliminate flex and looseness felt with the stock plastic box. The shift lever and pivot ball are made from solid stainless steel and are seated in a Delrin cage.
The Stoptech Performance Big Brake Kit is a complete brake upgrade package designed to exceed stock performance. It comprises larger-diameter rotors for increased heat capacity and improved stopping power without fading, fully forged, stiffer calipers with patented, removable bridges for faster braking response and less pad taper, DOT-compliant stainless steel brake lines for a quicker, firmer, more consistent pedal response, performance brake pads that provide a more aggressive bite than stock pads.
The twin spokes on the Enkei RPF1 racing wheels achieve better stress dispersion on curves, hard braking, and extreme race driving. The pocket design around the bolt circles increases rigidity and keeps the wheel cooler during aggressive race driving. Shaping by the MAT process reduces wheel weight by 10%-15%.
