The BMW M Twin Turbo S55 inline 6-cylinder engine has the availability of different power outputs selectable via a series of power sticks that allow for compliance with various racing series regulations. It is coupled to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission based on the production BMW M2 CS transmission but with motorsport specific software to control shifting in a racing environment. Fitted with a Drexler mechanical limited-slip differential with a dedicated cooler, providing greater traction and stability. Combined with racing tuned ABS and traction control systems ensuring performance, stability and safety.
The exterior with carbon fiber front splitter, hood and roof, rear side windows made of impact resistant, lightweight Makrolon© polycarbonate and 18-inch wheels are just some of the features that highlight the M2 CS Racing Clubsport is a versatile BMW M Motorsport built race car, ideal for entry-level competitors or seasoned veterans.
The interior of the M2 CS Racing Clubsport is fitted with the AIM MXG motorsport dash with integrated data logger providing vital information to the driver and engineers. Optimal driving position can be achieved with the Recaro P1300 GT driver seat coupled with the easily adjustable steering column. The multi-function BMW M Motorsport steering wheel push button and rotary controls operate key functions such as the radio, dash pages, lights, wiper, pit speed limiter and drink system, it features a quick release from the column allowing the driver easier access in and out of the cockpit. The M2 CS Racing Clubsport utilizes a performance-optimized air conditioning system that operates under braking.
